HAPPY BIRTHDAY XI HUA!

I was not able to get onto the computer yesterday, so first thing this morning I wanted to post:

Happy Birthday to our little Katie Grace Xi Hua! Yesterday was her 3rd Birthday. She has celebrated 3 birthdays without a family. That breaks my heart! The good news is that she will never celebrate a birthday again without us!

I pray that somebody remembered that it was her birthday. I pray that she got a hug. We asked, through our agency, that a cake be ordered for her and her group to share. I hope that happened!

As each week passes, my desire for her to come home intensifies. Every week, we miss out on a milestone. Every week, we are not able to teach her love and affection. Every week, she goes without the bond of a family. Every week, she learns a behavior that we will have to work with.

Everything moves so slowly! It will still be about 4 months until we can travel to get her. I should be able to post photos of her very soon. God keep her safe and prepare her heart.

I understand very well your feelings : our son will be 4 years old next month and we won't be with him to celebrate this so special day.

  3. I so hope that she had a special day. The waiting is so awful, especially when you know you have a child there just waiting to join your family. Happy Birthday sweet girl.

  4. Hugs to you sweet friend!!!! I know exactly how you feel! We were about 2 weeks too late for Lizzie's bday. I prayed so hard that we would be there for her 2nd bday but it was just not in God's timing. It worked out, however, that we made it and was able to visit her finding spot on the very day 2 years earlier that she had been found! It was very emotional! Take comfort in the fact that there will be many more bdays to celebrate together!!!! Hang in there and trust!!! Easier said than done, I know!!!

  5. Happy Birthday Katie Grace Xi Hua! May God fill your heart with joy and hold you safely in the palm of His hand.

Our Baby Love has spent 4 birthdays in an orphanage...and when she turns 5 on July 27th...we are giving her a very special party...just like we did for Mia Hope. No child should have to spend birthday after birthday in an orphanage. Sometimes I can't bear the thought....

    Love and blessings,
    Robin

  6. I know exactly how you feel. I felt that way for 11 months waiting to get my arms around our children. All I can tell you is it a season that will pass. I leaned on prayer, music, and serving as a voice for the orphan as I waited. All in his perfect timing,
    Mandy
