THIS PHOTO IS ME WAITING TO HEAR BACK FROM THE AGENCY ABOUT THE LITTLE GIRL WE ARE HOPING TO BE MATCHED WITH....

This picture gave me the giggles!
It has been a month since we sent back answers to the questions that were sent to us from the social worker representing the little girl we are interested in. A month feels like a really long time for this particular news! This is a bit disheartening knowing that it has been 4 weeks already and we have heard nothing back. The only positive about hearing "nothing" is that she hasn't been matched with anyone as of yet. (I'm pretty sure they will let us know if she is matched with another family) I have one "ray of hope" which is that a friend of mine :) told me that they waited about 2 months before they heard back from Taiwan and they were approved for the child they had requested! So, there are many factors that involve an approval, and I totally understand that they have to be thorough and make sure all of the legalities are in order and all parties are in agreement before they approve a family. I also have to keep in mind that there were probably several other families from other agencies requesting this same child, and we may not be the chosen family. Although, I HOPE we are!!!
I will let you know when I hear something!

  1. Hang in there! I know the wait can seem overwhelming at times...I love the picture! We actually waited about three weeks, but we were told that was pretty quick. We were given one set of questions, then another set a few days later. Then it was about three weeks of waiting. But like I said, that was pretty quick according to our agency contact. Our little one had been on the waiting list awhile, so I'm assuming that might have had something to do with it, also. I hope you hear soon...fortunately we can rest in God's perfect timing and plan!

  5. Hi,
I know EXACTLY how you feel. It took 3 months for us to get the pre-approval for our waitng child. We had questions to answer too. After 2 months we heard word that our documents had been forwarded to the local government but it took another month for our agency to get them. But it happened. We ae now waiting for a court date. Hang in there. Just as one wait ends, another begins.
