We have now been 6 months on the waiting list. 1/2 of a year! Now, if it really is to take 3 years to be matched with a child (as many are experiencing), we are only be 1/6 of the way there. Yucky! But we are also keeping a very close eye on the waiting children as well, and who knows what God has in store!
We know there is a child who needs a home and loving family, and we will meet our little one soon. Well, of course, soon is relative. In the life of a mosquito, soon is about 2 hours. In the life of my lovely Grandma Alice, who lived to be 100, soon is just one season of life.
waiting is hard. I didn't ahve to wait for a referral since there werw so many children in Guatemala waiting, the waiting to get her home was awful.
